Teenager admits manslaught­er

A WELSH teenager has admitted killing a man from Dorset earlier this year.

Andrew Nicholas, 43, from Poole, died after an assault in Monmouth on Sunday, June 26.

Police were called to the town centre at 1.15am, where Mr Nicholas was found unconsciou­s and unresponsi­ve.

He was taken to hospital but died a few days later, on Thursday, June 30.

Morgan Wainewrigh­t, 19, of Mid Summer Way, Monmouth, pleaded guilty to the manslaught­er of Mr Nicholas on Tuesday at Cardiff Crown Court.

Sentencing was adjourned until December 22 by the Recorder of Cardiff, Judge Tracey LloydClark­e.
