Cyclist killed in rush-hour crash

A FEMALE cyclist died in a crash in south Bristol at rush hour yesterday morning.

Emergency services were called to Whitchurch Lane, in Hengrove, at 8.05am following reports of a serious collision involving a cyclist and a lorry at the junction with The Boulevard.

The cyclist, in her 30s, died at the scene.

Her family were yesterday being supported by specially trained police officers.

Investigating officers from Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for information on the collision.
