Fraudulent handouts must be punished

SO, we are all going to be taxed until the pips squeak. I can understand this, as a lot of people (not everyone, I know) profited from the furlough money that has to be replaced.

Also, the fuel payments have to be paid from somewhere, as I imagine the coffers are, not surprising­ly, running on empty.

What also has to be replaced is the money that was fraudulent­ly taken during both the furlough payments and many of the PPI contracts that were awarded without due diligence owing to the panic and ‘jobs for the boys’ mentality of the Government at the time.

Will the fraudsters be squeezed until their pips squeak? I certainly hope so. It is only fair.
