Thieves raid nine West hotel rooms

THIEVES broke into rooms at two hotels in Weymouth while their occupants were eating dinner.

Dorset Police say that entry was gained to nine hotel rooms within Royal Hotel and Hotel Rex on The Esplanade.

Police say that cash and jewellery were stolen between 6.15pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday, October 25.

PC Bryce Scott-Jones said: “I am keen to hear from anyone else who was staying in the area on that night and was the victim of a similar burglary that has not been reported to police.”
