Man dies in 3-vehicle A417 crash

A MAN has died following a three-vehicle crash in Gloucester­shire on the A417 on Monday.

The A417 was closed for 13 hours following the collision near the Air Balloon roundabout.

The crash, which involved a red SEAT, black BMW and a VW Transporte­r, was first reported on Monday, November 21 at around 4.20pm.

The driver of the red SEAT, a man in his 40s, was declared dead at the scene.

Officers have informed their next of kin and the coroner’s office.

A man and woman in their 60s sustained “serious injuries” and were taken to Gloucester­shire Royal Hospital after the collision.

The driver and only occupant of the VW Transporte­r was physically uninjured.

Gloucester­shire Police launched an appeal for the incident and are asking anyone with informatio­n to contact them.
