Stone throwing damages shop

A SHOP and other properties have been damaged in a series of stone-throwing incidents in an upmarket Cotswolds town.

A shop in London Road, Tetbury, has been targeted by someone throwing stones and items, breaking its windows and causing damage.

The property was attacked on Thursday, October 17 at 1.30am, on Monday, November 21 at 12.55am and on Friday, November 25 at 4.50am.

The culprit is described as being dressed in dark clothing, tall and of a slim build. There have been a number of other stone-throwing incidents in the town. These include a property in Quails Mead being targeted three times on three different nights resulting in damage to the property and a vehicle.

Properties in Courtfield Road and Chavenage Lane have also been damaged in similar attacks.

A teenager from Tetbury has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage in connection and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed them to get in touch.
