Evidence is required in climate debate

-

DEVOID of any logical argument, Mike Butterfield accuses others of bullying. From what I read, I and others were merely challenging views that I think are dangerous and need to be contested. This is simply free speech and a mild reaction, given what is at stake.

If he really cares about what he falsely identifies as bullying, why has he never written to defend those with views contrary to his own? Such people have been subject to far more strongly worded attacks by people claiming to be a higher authority due to one thing or another. If he agrees with Dr Bratby, he should provide evidence and let others respond.

As to Mr Butterfield’s claim that there are questions not being answered, name them and I will attempt to reply, because I am happy to stand up for what I know to be true – our emission are causing dangerous climate change and we need to act. His request is ironic, since Dr Bratby failed to answer the question asked of him. We are waiting for the reference to a paper that supports Dr Bratby’s view on CO2 and other non-condensing greenhouse gases.
