QUITE literally changing the face of comedy, this unique show uses Deep Fake technology to turn impressionists into the world’s most famous celebrities.
Except that here, the celebs are ordinary people who are embroiled in petty neighbourhood disputes. You’ll see backyard battles between Billie Eilish and Beyoncé, while a loved up Nicki Minaj and Tom Holland have a row with Mark Zuckerberg. Plus Harry Kane gets cross when his patio is damaged by neighbour Stormzy.
The AI tech is terrifyingly convincing – you’ll have to wait until the end credits to see the comedians shake off the Deep Fake to reveal their true faces. Each episode begins: “This is all fake. The stories are all made up. The real celebs have had nothing to do with this. Our celebs are all played by actors. Their faces are all DEEP FAKED.”
The first episode follows Idris Elba, a handyman, barman, chef, mobile phone repairer, car detailer and delivery driver from Catford, who is not looking as buff as usual with his beer belly and socks and sandals. He’s having a dispute with bus driver neighbour Kim Kardashian, who is sunbathing all day in his communal garden.
Meanwhile, Greta Thunberg has moved to Southend, a single mum to son Algae. She’s furious with neighbours Conor McGregor and Ariana Grande, who have year-round Christmas lights on their house.
With all six episodes dropping at once, you can later catch Adele having a problem with pigeon poo and Rihanna facing off with Phoebe WallerBridge.
Created by comedian Spencer Jones, he says: “I hope the famous people in the show have a laugh at our versions of them.”
