EASTENDERS

After attending a scan with Mick, Janine returns to the Vic to wind Linda up about the pregnancy. However, the expectant mum has less to gloat about when she later falls down the stairs at the tube station.

In all the World Cup-related hubbub at the pub, Mick misplaces his phone and fails to get his fiancee’s calls, but Linda spots her with the paramedics and goes with Janine to hospital.

Ben warns Lola she needs to tell Lexi about the diagnosis as otherwise their daughter will figure it out for herself – and he’s proved right when the youngster finds a letter. Rocky is worried by the state of Harvey’s flat and his rekindled relationship with Sophia, but Kathy wishes he was equally concerned with her.

CORONATION STREET

Hope pockets £75 from the sale of the books she found in the shed. She also announces to her classmates that she’s planning a special tribute to her biological father, which seems to involve a reading and a hammer.

Nick accompanies Sam to his meeting with Harvey, who admits he had planned to kill Leanne. He also reveals he lost his own mother when he was young, but Sam’s subsequent awkward questions prompt the villain to end their conversation early. However, after reading Sam’s latest letter, he relents.

Ken was recently reunited with old flame Wendy, but there’s another former love heading his way this week when Stephanie Beacham reprises her role as Martha.

EMMERDALE

While Chas visits Cain in prison and annoys him by trying to talk about her dead lover, Chloe accuses Priya of being Al’s mystery woman. Luckily, Priya is able to prove her innocence – although not until after Chloe finds Amba outside the café on her own and takes her back to Keepers – but she does agree that, judging by his bank statements, Al probably was having an affair.

Meanwhile, Mackenzie is more worried about Chloe spilling his secrets, especially after Charity deduces she’s pregnant. Sam and Lydia are determined to be doting grandparents to baby Esther, but that leaves Samson feeling even more pushed out of the family, while Liam and Leyla come to the sad conclusion that they just aren’t good for each other.

HOLLYOAKS

Tony holds a meeting to discuss the safety of the village’s female residents, but when the suggestions seem to put the onus on the women, Maxine decides to go rogue to catch the spiker. Her findings point to one person, but she runs into problems when Eric destroys the CCTV evidence... however, it seems he may not have completely covered his tracks.

Elsewhere, Misbah announces that Imran has a place in a clinic, but doesn’t get the reaction she was expecting as Zain wonders how he got in so quickly, and, after Sally declines her request for a raise, Olivia comes up with a drastic way of freeing up some cash from the school’s budget.
