THE TRIALS OF HEATHER MILLS
C5, 9pm
Heather Mills found fame as a model, a career that continued even after she had the bottom half of her left leg amputated following a 1993 road accident. She went on to become a staunch advocate of and vocal campaigner for animal rights. However, fame of a different kind resulted from her marriage to musician Paul Mccartney and she became a figure of hate when the relationship ended in divorce in 2008. This programme profiles Heather and asks why this remarkable woman became such a divisive figure.
