Man, 32, found in Cardiff park

SPECIALIST officers were investigating after a 32-year-old man was found dead in a Cardiff park.

South Wales Police were called to the scene at Pontcanna Fields near Sophia Gardens by a dog walker who made the discovery just after 8am yesterday.

A spokesman for the force said: “We were called to an incident on Pontcanna Fields at 8.09am.”

He confirmed that four units were in attendance, plus a team of five specialist officers.

A passerby reported seeing a police tent at the scene.

Police said that the next of kin were being informed.
