The five-year-old boasted just one win in 27 previous starts before Iain Jardine opted to try her on the Southwell Fibresand last month and the Tiger Hill mare soon showed an aptitude for this particular surface.

Racing off a mark of 46, she claimed a very average handicap in good style before doubling up in an apprentice event just over a week later, racing off an improved perch of 51.

She strolled home by seven lengths that day in what appeared to be a competitiv­e heat for its grade and the handicappe­r has taken a dim view in raising her 11lb for the win.

However, Tiger’s Home appears to have struck up a good partnershi­p with 7lb claimer Kyle Currie and his allowance puts her back in the frame here.

Northside Prince just lost out at the track last month but can improve on that in the Coral Handicap.

He was outpointed by Frosty Berry by half a length, with the winner staying on that bit better when it really mattered.

A 4lb rise looks harsh but he has been knocking on the door and his time can come in an event such as this.
