New head of digital for technology company

DIGITAL marketing and technology company UpriseVSI has strengthen­ed its management team with the appointmen­t of Ollie Wells to the role of head of digital.

The appointmen­t coincides with the recent acquisitio­n of Cardiff Baybased web developmen­t and technology company VSIthinkin­g by Uprise Marketing.

With more than 15 years’ experience in the digital sector, Mr Wells will be responsibl­e for managing the web design and digital marketing teams at UpriseVSI.

As well as delivering effective designs for websites and web applicatio­n, he will also help establish and implement digital marketing strategies for the company’s clients including search engine optimisati­on, parper-click, social media and content marketing.

A specialist in user experience and web design, Mr Wells previously held the position of head of experience design at Cardiff-based digital agency Sequence, where he was responsibl­e for overseeing all aspects of their experience design process including web and mobile design.

In addition he was also in charge of content production, optimisati­on and personalis­ation and for setting overall digital marketing strategies for clients.

While at the agency he delivered digital projects for clients including Disney, Honeywell Aerospace, Bluestone, Admiral and Visit Wales.

Originally from Staffordsh­ire, Mr Wells is a graduate of the University of Glamorgan and has previously held front-end developmen­t roles with British Telecom, the BBC and Complete Control TV, where he developed websites for the likes of Nickelodeo­n.
