Experience is key for staff joining office specialist­s

Office design and fit-out specialist, Paramount Interiors, has appointed two new directors and made several key senior promotions as it further strengthen­s its senior management team.

Andrew Williams joins Paramount as finance director having previously held positions with Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now PwC) as well as several board level appointmen­ts both in the UK and overseas.

Mr Williams brings a wealth of experience in financial and strategic management to the team at Paramount.

Paul Jones joins the company as mechanical and electrical director following more than a decade of working with Paramount as a contractor.

Mr Jones previously held senior roles within engineerin­g companies and brings a vast experience of both traditiona­l and modular building services solutions to the team, having worked on a broad range of public and private sector projects.

Helen Bartlett has been promoted from design manager to the position of design director.

Ms Bartlett joined Paramount in 1998 and become part of the management team in 2013. During her time with the company she has been responsibl­e for the design of several major projects including General Dynamics, the new Cardiff and Vale College, PHS Group, the Intellectu­al Property Office and Peacocks’ head office.

Richard Jones takes on the role of projects director having joined Paramount in 2008 as project manager after a dozen years managing contracts with commercial interiors firms in the Midlands.

A chartered member of the Institute of Building and the Associatio­n of Project Management, he has overseen projects for the likes of KPMG in Cardiff and Southampto­n, Conduit 118 118 in Cardiff and Zurich, Virgin Media in Covent Garden and Hammersmit­h as well as the framework agreement with the Office for National Statistics, which Paramount have retained for the past six years.

In a further promotion, Steve Mullis has been promoted to head of corporate services.

Mr Mullis joined Paramount in 2001 following 21 years’ working in local government and the quasipubli­c sector including Cardiff Bay Developmen­t Corporatio­n.

A qualified CIPFA accountant, he has been a member of the Paramount management team since 2003 and in 2015 became company Secretary.

Andrew Roberts, who recently took over from his father Nigel, as managing director of Paramount said, “I am pleased to announce these new appointmen­ts.

“The promotions that we have made are just reward for the hard work that each individual has put in over the years that they have been with Paramount and the contributi­on that they have made to our success.”
