KLM’s partnership with Delta also means that up to 19 cities in North America can now be reached with one stop via Amsterdam. These destinations include a new daily connection to Salt Lake City as well as Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal in Canada; Boston, New York, Washington DC, Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapo- lis, Houston, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles in the US; and Mexico City.
Debra Barber, managing director and chief operating officer at Cardiff Airport, said: “KLM plays a vital role in promoting connectivity to and from Wales. Amsterdam Schiphol is a vibrant hub well equipped to help passengers connect to onward destinations with ease.
“To see new connections being added to KLM’s growing network is very exciting. The airline currently flies up to three times a day to Amsterdam.
“Their new partnership with Delta has added a number of new one stop North American connections which will be of huge benefit to our customers who choose to fly from Cardiff to the world.”
