Epic creation set to turn heads in the wilds of Snowdonia
THERE was the famous Ball in the Wall, the dragon on the banks of Caerphilly Castle and even a mammoth replica of Stay Puft Marshmallow Man on the concourse at Waterloo Station.
And now Wild Creations has brought its work back to Wales – with a huge mirrored sign reading ‘EPIC’ installed in the middle of picturesque Snowdonia.
Wild Creations has teamed up with Visit Wales for the latest project, which has seen the sign, measuring more than four metres high by 11 metres wide, placed in Pen y Gwryd.
It’s part of Visit Wales’ Year of Adventure campaign, which encourages people to take part in outdoor activities all over the country.
Cardiff-based company Wild Creations has created some of the most talked-about art installations in Wales and the UK.
‘Ball in the Wall’ saw a giant rugby ball appear to be embedded in the wall of Cardiff Castle on the first day of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
The firm also installed the breathtaking dragon on the banks of Caerphilly Castle, complete with black and red scales and smoke-flaring nostrils, and managed to bringLon-don traffic to a standstill with some gruesome tentacled aliens from Independence Day.
They also recently created the mammoth replica of Stay Puft Marshmallow Man at Waterloo Station in London to coincide with the launch of the new Ghostbusters film.
The firm’s website reads: “With a host of talents from sculpture to woodwork, we’re not afraid to unleash any combination of these to make your creation the most eyecatching, fun and practical you have ever come across.”
