Treowen dates back to around 1627, when it was built by William Jones after he inherited a fortune from his uncle, a London merchant.

It has barely been altered since, apart from the addition of the beautiful porch on the south front with the Jones shield of arms and a gable embellishe­d with strapwork.

Treowen offers a range of reception rooms, as well as plenty of accommodat­ion for guests and there is an extensive private garden with superb views. Treowen is licensed for civil weddings which can be held in the dining room, banqueting hall, the oak room, the drawing room or the porch.
