Blaming immigration is a shocking scam
I AGREE with Hugh Jones that the NHS is in chaos, that we are not looking after our ageing population as we should, and the number of homeless is increasing, but this is not the fault of refugees or immigrants.
In fact, EU immigrants have rescued our hospitals and care homes from the worst effects of an ageing population and we would be much worse off without them.
The real blame for the growing number of homeless people, lack of school places, overcrowded prisons, and our health service being at death’s door lies squarely with the Government’s austerity cuts, largely devolved to local councils.
David Cameron’s destruction of the Libyan state has allowed peopletraffickers to ply their deadly trade in the Mediterranean, and we have done nothing to help Greece with its influx of refugees, yet Theresa May has reneged on her government’s pledge to take in 3,000 child refugees, who will now have to turn to people-traffickers or fall victim to even worse abusers, and their desperation will make them easy targets for terrorists to convert them to jihad.
Blaming immigration for problems of the government’s own making is the biggest scam ever perpetrated on the British people, aided and abetted by our right-wing press in their shameless exercise of power without responsibility, and it has culminated in the economic calamity of Brexit, which will make all of the above problems far worse.
