Donald’s obnoxious son shows a lot of nerve but very little class critcising London Mayor in immediate aftermath of a terror attack

-

In two short months, America has been reduced from the leader of the Western world to a pariah thanks to the utterances of Trump and his family...

WHILE in New York, Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson delivered a Churchillian message in the wake of the Westminster terror attack telling Amercia British people will “never, never, never, never surrender”.

The former mayor of London spoke just hours after cowardly Khalid Masood left five people dead, including PC Keith Palmer. Rightly Johnson, who was appearing on US television, made it clear that Britain refused to cower to terrorists adding that it would be “business as normal”.

He went on to describe London as the greatest city on Earth.

“The worst way to lose the war on terror is to be terrified for a second,” he said. “We are not terrified, and we will go on.

“As the Prime Minister said, the House of Commons was going to continue its business and around her in that great city, which I would say is the greatest on Earth, the lives of millions of people is continuing as normal.”

His statesmanlike words were spoken by the kind of politician America can only dream of at the moment.

By comparison, his US counterpart, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, appears as elusive as the terrorists we now hunt for.

The former oil exec, appointed by Trump despite the two men never meeting before he was offered the job, has been conspicuous by his absence since becoming America’s top overseas envoy.

He has openly said he prefers not to speak to the media, acting as though he believes he stills holds a private job instead of public office.

Tillerson said nothing on the Westminster attack while the President labelled it simply as “big news”.

However one Trump, the US leader’s smug eldest son, had no trouble using the attacks for political gain.

As the injured still lay dying, Donald Trump Jnr blasted the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, twisting several comments made six months ago that such attacks could be expected.

Terror attacks are “part and parcel of living in a big city,” Khan had said following a bomb explosion in Manhattan that injured 29 people.

“It is a reality I’m afraid that London, New York, other major cities around the world have got to be prepared for these sorts of things.

“That means being vigilant, having a police force that is in touch with communities, it means the security services being ready, but it also means exchanging ideas and best practice,” said Khan, who has called President Trump’s take on Muslims “ignorant”.

“You have to be kidding me?!: Terror attacks are part of living in big city, says London Mayor Sadiq Khan,” Trump Jnr tweeted linking his post to the mayor’s earlier comments.

The total lack of compassion and respect, that is surely the least can be expected from a President and his offspring, was abhorrent.

To use a terrorist attack on any city, not just one of our own, for political gain is a disgrace.

Rather than spewing acerbic comments, silver-spooned Trump Jnr, and his father, would be better off concentrating on America’s own problems.

After all, as he was criticising Britain’s security frailties and how a police officer could be killed, another US cop was being murdered in the line of duty in America.

In fact, 12 American officers have so far lost their lives this year alone compared to the same number over 14 years in the UK. Trump Jnr, along with those Americans who supported his warped views, have no right to attack the UK, given the daily violence that exists throughout the States.

But should we expect anything less?

In two short months since coming to power, America has been reduced from the leader of the Western world to a pariah thanks to the utterances of Trump and his family.
