YOU simply can’t have Easter without an Easter Egg hunt. And Cadbury has joined forces with the National Trust to ensure that you and the kids can search for eggs in the glorious surroundin­gs of some of our most beautiful properties, beaches and gardens for Easter 2017.

From Rhosilli beach in Gower to Dyffryn Gardens, just outside Cardiff, and Chirk Castle up north, there is no excuse not to join in the Easter fun.

Aberconwy House

When: April 14-17 from 10am-4pm. Cost: £4.40 Where: 2 Castle Street, Conwy, LL32 8AY. The only medieval merchant’s house to have survived in Conwy over six centuries and the Easter Bunny has visited so the kids can find the clues and enjoy some chocolate. Aberdulais Tinworks and Waterfall When: April 14-17, 10:30am – 4:30pm Cost: £2 Where: Neath, SA10 Bunny has been hopping along the river path, nibbling at the carrot cake in the Old School House tea-room and hiding plenty of clues amongst the tinworks. Bodnant Garden When: April 16 and 17, 10am - 3pm Cost: £3. Where: Tal-y- Cafn, Conwy, LL28 5RE. There are clues under tall trees, in fields of daffodils and over a bridge and across a stream.

If you like the sound of chocolate inside chocolate inside chocolate? We can make that dream come true Chirk Castle When: April 14-17 April, 10am – 5pm. Cost: £2.50 Where: Chirk Castle, Wrexham, LL14 5AF. There is one thing more exciting than a medieval castle and that’s one brimming with Cadbury’s chocolate! Cilgerran Castle When: April 14-17l, 10am-4pm Cost: £3 Where: Castle Square, SA43 2SF. Search for clues in the castle grounds, high above the Teifi Gorge and leave no stone untunred and unravel the riddles to claim a chocolate prize. Colby Woodland Garden When: April 14-17, 11am – 3:30pm. Cost: £2 Where: Colby Woodland Garden, Narberth SA67 8PP. Bunny has been hopping among the flowers and you’ll need to explore the lovely gardens to get your surprise.

Conwy Suspension Bridge

When: April 14-17, 11am-3:45pm. Cost: £2 Where: The Toll House, LL32 8LD. Bunny has visited Conwy, and made a trip to Thomas Telford’s suspension bridge. For more family fun, you can also try the games on the suspension bridge lawn.

Dolaucothi Gold Mines

When: April 14-17, 10:30am-4pm. Cost: £2 Where: Pumsaint, Carmarthen­shire, SA19 8US. There’s hidden treasure in the mines that tastes much better than gold. There are clues everywhere, even in the mine yards and machinery sheds. Dyffryn Gardens When: April 14-17, 11am - 3:30pm. Cost: £2 Where: St Nicholas, CF5 6SU With grounds the size of 28 football fields, where will the kids start looking? Luckily the bunny will have left some clues, so cross the lawn, avoid the prickles in the cacti house and try the Pompeian garden. Erddig When: April 14-17, 10am-4pm. Cost: £2.50. Where: Erddig, Wrexham, LL13 0YT. The Easter Bunny has hopped over the wall of the 13.5 acre garden to hide clues for a lovely day out. Gower – Pennard When: April 16, 11am – 3pm. Cost: £2. Where: Pennard car park, SA3 2DH. Use a map to follow Bunny’s instructio­ns amongst the limestone grassland to discover facts about butterflie­s on the Gower and a puzzle to earn the treat. Gower- Rhossili When: April 15, 11am – 3pm. Cost: £2. Where: SA3 1PR. A trail has been set up along the spectacula­r Rhossili Cliffs so find clues amongst the gorse or fly towards Worm’s Head to discover some egg-citing facts about the birds that live there. Llanerchae­ron When: April 14-17, 11am – 4pm Cost: £1.50 Where: Llanerchae­ron, Ciliau Aeron, near Aberaeron SA48 8DG This beautiful Georgian villa, unaltered for more than 200 years, and it’s gardens are a great place to hunt out chocolate surprises.

Ogwen Cottage, Cwm Idwal

When: April 14-17, 10am - 3pm. Cost: £2 Where: Nant Ffrancon, Bethesda LL57 3LZ The Red Dragon has apparently been spotted flying above Cwm Idwal this spring. Follow his tracks and you just might find some Easter surprises.

Penrhyn Castle, Bangor

When: April 14-17, 10.30-4pm. Cost: £2 Where: Bangor, Gwynedd, LL57 4HT. Search for clues in the woodland of this spectacula­r National Trust site. Plas Newydd House and Gardens When: April 14-17, 11am – 3:30pm. Cost: £2. Where: LL61 6DQ. There are 169 acres of pretty woodland to explore, as well as 40 acres of gardens. So that means fresh air, exercise, fun AND chocolate. When is Easter 2017? The dates for Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday Plas yn Rhiw When: April 14-17 April, 11am 4pm. Cost: £2. Where: Pwllheli, LL53 8AB. Wander through the parklands of this wonderful manor house to find Bunny’s clues which are dotted around the garden.

Porth y Swnt

When: April 14–17, 11am – 3pm. Cost: £12 Where: Pwllheli, LL53 8BE. Look for clues in Porth y Swnt and the village to claim your Cadbury’s chocolate prize. Powis Castle and Garden When: April 14–17, 11am-4pm. Cost: £2 Where: Powys, SY21 8RF. Find clues among the hanging terraces, in the safe of the gigantic yew hedge or among the flowers in the Edwardian garden. Southwood Farm, Pembrokesh­ire When: April 14, 10:30am-3:30pm. Cost: £2 Where: Southwood Farm car park, SA62 6AR. Have a browse of stalls filled with local produce this Good Friday and explore our historic farmyard range.
