Paid care fees in Wales? You may be due a refund, but you must act now

The deadline is relevant to people who may be eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare, a little known funding scheme where the NHS is responsible for all care fees, regardless of the individual’s ability to pay for their care. If you or a loved one paid care fees between these dates, it’s worth considering whether you may have been eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare as you may then be able to reclaim the fees paid.

What is NHS Continuing Healthcare? NHS Continuing Healthcare is a scheme arranged and funded by the NHS for people receiving care due to primary health needs. However, very few people are aware of this scheme. As a result, families are often left wrongly footing the bill.

You must register your claim by October 31. If you miss the deadline, you will lose your chance to claim for this time period.
