Nominations for West Wales Awards open
AWARDS showcasing the best in west Wales have been launched. Nominations for the West Wales Business Awards are now open across nine categories, from manufacturing to tourism, retail to agriculture.
The black tie event will take place on Friday, January 19, at Stradey Park Hotel, Llanelli.
The night, which is always a sell-out, will be hosted by Frances Donovan and guest speaker is Wales and Lions legend Shane Williams.
The awards are made up of nine categories, plus there is an award for best business overall. Retail Agricultural Manufacturing – small & large Services Tourism & Leisure Construction Small Business Food & Drink Training and Development “The West Wales Business Awards are important as they highlight the success story of the regions business to a wider UK audience,” said Ian Morgan, managing director, Morganstone, who won the main prize last year.
“We attended the awards not expecting to win and to come away with two awards on the night meant a great deal for us all.
“We were delighted to receive this accolade, particularly as it was recognition from outside the industry of what we do as a company, especially the community engagement work we carry out which is such an important part of our ethos at Morganstone.”

Morgan LaRoche is sponsoring the Construction award, with Red Kite Law sponsoring both the manufacturing categories, and JCP Solicitors has put its name to the food and drink category.
