Web tech company adds to its team
CARDIFF-BASED web development and technology company Uprise VSI has made two new appointments to its team, reflecting the continued growth of the business
Daniel Wilcock joins the development team in the role of web developer. A first class honours graduate in business information technology from Aberystwyth University, Mr Wilcock, who is originally from North Wales, will be working on a range of bespoke web development projects, as well as playing a key role in the continued development of the firm’s online booking and scheduling software think Booker system.
And Gareth Hill joins the team as marketing manager, bringing a wealth of B2B and creative marketing experience to the role, having previously worked as both a professional copywriter, and a Key Account Manager for a number of blue-chip companies.
Mr Hill will be working on promoting the Uprise VSI brand within Wales and the wider UK market and will be responsible for developing new opportunities for the company’s core range of services including bespoke web development, creative and design and digital marketing.
He will also be taking a lead role in the marketing and business development of think Booker, expanding the brand into new business sectors and markets both within the UK and internationally. A recent winner of Best Emerging Technology at the Wales Online Digital Awards, think Booker is used by leading brands including the Aston Martin Owners Club, NFL franchise, Jacksonville Jaguars and the Welsh Rugby Union.
Managing director of Uprise VSI Gareth Rees Jones said: “I’m delighted to welcome Daniel and Gareth into the Uprise VSI team. It’s an essential part of our ongoing strategy to continue to strengthen our team and to ensure that we create an environment which allows our talent to thrive, and to allow us to continually deliver world-class online solutions for our clients.
“Having experienced very strong demand for our bespoke web development services and think Booker, our online booking and scheduling software, both at home and abroad, it is the right time for us to further strengthen our technical skills and to bring additional commercial skills into the company. I’m sure Daniel and Gareth will help us to drive the business forward and will allow us to meet the growing demand for our services and booking product.”
