Credas has strengthened senior team

-

CARDIFF-BASED technology startup, Credas, has strengthened its senior team with a number of key appointments.

Set up in May by Rhys David, a former executive at GoCompare, the company has developed a range of products and services that enable any business to register and verify people quickly and accurately.

Kevin Smith has been appointed as the head of product and technology. He brings more than 20 years’ experience gained across a range of industries and sectors, having successfully delivered more than 80 products and software development projects, many with million-pound budgets.

Head of marketing Emma Williams joins Credas from Legal and General where she delivered group protection marketing campaigns and before that. She was worked at Buy As You View as marketing manager, where she ran the marketing department covering six national sites.

Credas has also recruited two former GoCompare developers, Patrick Pulka and Bleddyn Richards, to the team, and has employed Leah Amesbury, who has an extensive background in the financial sector as a project manager.

Chief executive Rhys David said: “Credas has been launched because we spotted a real need for businesses to be able to prove the identity of their staff and customers in a fast and simple way. From registering for a job or opening a bank account, to gambling online or setting up a dating profile, Credas can help speed up this process.

“It means businesses don’t have to wait around for verification and can get employees and customers through the door much quicker.”
