We seem to be left with barrel scrapings

ROBERT Mugabe defeated Ian Smith and his white supremacists, then his fellow freedom fighter Joshua Ncomo leaving him as sole leader. He then proceeded to feather his own nest while ruining the Rhodesian/Zimbabwean economy. All the decline at his hands he blamed on the previous colonial leaders.

In 2012,we had a Tory government who, like Mugabe, managed to trash a once-decent economy, making life hard for millions of people and blaming the previous government for their cockups.

Mugabe and some of his rotten pals are on their way out: we seem stuck with the barrel scrapings.
