Animals seized in ‘harrowing’ raid

CATS, dogs and horses have been seized in a “harrowing” RSPCA and police raid.

A warrant was executed at a smallholding in Flintshire on Wednesday with a number of animals seized due to their poor condition. One horse and a dog were put down due to the severity of their condition.

The exact location of the raid has not been revealed.

North Wales Police Rural Crime Team tweeted: “Harrowing day for the team after a joint operation with the RSPCA today at a smallholding in Flintshire.

“Cats, dogs and horses unfortunately seized due to their condition. Sadly one horse and dog had to be euthanized.

An RSPCA Cymru spokesman said: “This is an on-going investigation.”
