Amy and Luke team up for new show

THE new year will see two generations of captivating singer songwriters take to the stage at St David’s Hall.
Award-winner songwriter Amy Wadge, is teaming up with young, rising singer Luke Jackson as part of a UK-wide tour.
Playing to crowds in Cardiff on Tuesday, January 30 the duo’s show, which is part of the venue’s Roots Unearthed series, kicks off at 8pm.
Amy is famously known as the Grammy award-winning artist who co-wrote Thinking Out Loud with Ed Sheeran, and Luke is the emerging talent with a show-stopping voice that expresses an astonishing maturity.
Award-winner Amy is widely regarded as one of the country’s most successful singer/songwriters.
In recent years, she’s released five solo albums, along with two collaboration, numerous compositions for other artists and has hundreds of live performances under her belt. She often writes songs with upcoming songwriters, most notably including Ed Sheeran, who released an EP, “Songs I Wrote With Amy”.
And Sheeran’s best-selling single, “Thinking Out Loud” was co-written with Amy and has brought her songwriting even greater critical acclaim from a global audience, along with seeing Amy pick up a Grammy.
Luke, who’s from Canterbury in Kent, on the other hand is an up and coming talent, with a “bold, show-stopping voice and honed guitar skills”.
The young star has spent time playing at festivals all over Europe, taking his music to the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany.
The duo are also playing in Gwaenysgor Village Hall, Flintshire.
