Show tells the fateful story of April 1912

-

The tragic tale of Titanic will be re-told on-stage in Cardiff this spring. History tells us the story of how in the final hours of 14th April 1912, the RMS Titanic, on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York, collided with an iceberg and ‘the unsinkable ship’ slowly sank.

More than a thousand women and children lost their lives in the iconic moment in history.

This is the story of tragedy and bravery that Titanic the Musical will tell at Wales Millennium Centre between Monday, April, 30, and Saturday, May, 5, 2018.

Based on real people aboard the most legendary ship in the world, the touring stage show is a stunning and stirring production focusing on the hopes, dreams and aspirations of her passengers.

Unaware of the fate that awaits them, the Third Class immigrants dream of a better life in America, the newly-enfranchised Second Class dream of achieving the lifestyles of the rich and famous, and the millionaire Barons of the First Class dream of their mastery lasting forever.

With music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and a book by Peter Stone, the original Broadway show won five Tony Awards including Best Musical, and this brilliant new production has won sweeping critical acclaim, including The Times, which said: “An evening both shattering and gorgeous - a triumph.

“The day after seeing it, I went back again. “It’s that good.” The two-and-a-half hour show is suitable for those aged 8-years-of-age and upwards.

Tickets cost £18 each and can be purchased by calling the box office on 029 2063 6464 or by visiting the Wales Millennium Centre website at www. wmc.org.uk.
