How they rated

Vardy’s pressure on back caused him a few issues with the ball at his feet, but made two big saves before the break to keep Swansea in touch. They proved vital moments.

KYLE NAUGHTON

A decent afternoon for the wing-back. Made a number of interceptions and tackles during the opening half and continued into the second half while offering more of an outlet going forward.

MIKE VAN DER HOORN

He and Fernandez got themselves in a right old muddle for Vardy’s goal but the Dutchman recovered well and was excellent during the second half, particularly during Leicester’s late siege.

FEDERICO FERNANDEZ (CAPT)

Made up for the lack of communication for the Leicester opener with his first goal of the season. Some of his passing put others under pressure during the opening half, but was better after the break.

MARTIN OLSSON

Another to improve after a shaky start. Had his hands full with Albrighton and Diabete. A couple of decent forward forays but could not find the final ball.

KI SUNG-YUENG

He and Fer were befuddled by the movement of Iheanacho, Ndidi and Diabete during the opening half but got to grips with it and his corner set up the equaliser.

LEROY FER

His injury looked a serious one as he went down with no-one near him, a real shame after his recent form. Did not live up to recent standards here as he and Ki struggled to pick up runners.

SAM CLUCAS

Was always going to be difficult to back up that excellent Arsenal performance but ran himself to a standstill, with many good forward runs going unnoticed by team-mates. Will be disappointed he did not do better with a couple of break-outs.

NATHAN DYER

Had little chance to get forward before the break and got away with one poor bit of tracking for Leicester’s double chance. Was more of a menace after the break before being withdrawn.

JORDAN AYEW

Had such little service in the opening half, although was also guilty of taking the wrong options, better once Swansea got bodies around him and had a good penalty shout turned down.
