Tributes to ‘thoughtful, kind’ crash victim, 40

-

TRIBUTES have been paid to a “thoughtful, kind and generous” man who was killed after his car was hit by another vehicle travelling in the wrong direction on the A55.

Paul Jones was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on the eastbound carriageway between Llanfairfechan and Talybont, Bangor, at around 9.30pm on Wednesday.

Yesterday, his devastated family released a statement paying tribute to the 40-year-old from Penmaenmawr.

It said: “The family of Paul Jones have described him as a very thoughtful, kind, generous and funny individual. Paul’s family are devastated by his sudden loss and he will be missed by all.

“Paul’s family have requested that their privacy is respected at this extremely difficult time.”

Police continue to appeal for witnesses to the smash whereby a Nissan car, which was travelling in the wrong direction, collided with a silver Hyundai being driven by Mr Jones.

The driver of the Nissan remains in hospital in Stoke with serious, life-changing injuries.

Sergeant Raymond Williams, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts very much remain with Mr Jones’ family.

“I’d like to thank everybody who has come forward so far to assist with our investigation.”
