Had no chance with the first two goals but will be disappointed he did not do better with the third. Having said that, this could have been worse without stunning saves from Eriksen and Dier.

KYLE NAUGHTON

A dreadful afternoon. Regularly pulled out of position by Tottenham’s movement and gave the ball away on countless occasions. Half-time withdrawal was tactical, but could have had few complaints on performance alone.

MIKE VAN DER HOORN

Stuck to his guns well and was not short of work in this passive Swansea display. Twice did superbly to deny Lucas Moura when the hosts were stretched after the break.

KYLE BARTLEY

Will look back and wonder why on earth he did not close down Eriksen or Lamela for the first-half goals. They were misjudgements Swansea were made to pay heavily for.

MARTIN OLSSON

Had a very tough first half, losing possession for the opener, was better after the break and offered an outlet down the left, with his volley proving Swansea’s best effort of a chastening afternoon.

KI SUNG-YUENG

Has been so influential of late, but was nowhere near those levels here. Tottenham ran rings around the Swansea midfield, and the number of times he was beaten to the ball waiting for a pass from a team-mate was infuriating.

TOM CARROLL

A day to forget against his former club. When he pressed Tottenham simply picked him off and found space all around him, passing was poor and was bullied by Dier and Sissoko. Half-hearted attempt to foul Lamela in the lead up to the Argentinian’s goal summed it up.

SAM CLUCAS

Covered plenty of ground but able to make little impression on proceedings. On rare occasions he was able to surge forward he found little in the way of support.

NATHAN DYER

The more he tried, the more mistakes he made. Was unable to establish himself and was physically dominated. Had little support, it should be said, but made far too many errors.

TAMMY ABRAHAM

Started like a house on fire, with his run threatening a Swansea goal in the second minute, but soon faded and usual hold-up play frustrations surfaced. Complained to his team-mates regularly but then couldn’t take the big chance that came his way early in the second half.
