BANGOR University offers one of the best university experiences in the UK, according to rave reviews from its own students.

Bangor University won two national titles at last week’s WhatUni student choice awards – Best Student Accommodation in the UK and Best Student Clubs and Societies.

The university was also placed third in the UK in the University of the Year category and second for Courses and Lecturers. The Whatuni awards are based on student reviews, with Bangor University receiving nominations in eight-out-of-12 main categories in this year’s awards.

These latest accolades are a further endorsement of the excellence of the teaching and overall student experience provided by Bangor University.

As well as being in the UK’s top 10 for student satisfaction, Bangor University is the only university in Wales to have achieved a Gold standard for delivering consistently outstanding teaching in the UK Government’s new Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

“I’m delighted that the university has won two Whatuni awards,” said Professor John G Hughes, the University’s Vice-Chancellor.
