Cleaning company APP UK welcomes new managing director
CARDIFF-BASED cleaning company APP UK has appointed a new managing director to help drive its “progressive vision” forward.
The facilities and cleaning provider has welcomed Caroline Demoulpied, who has more than 20 years’ experience at corporations across the UK.
During her London-based career, Ms Demoulpied has held senior positions with well-known security and facilities management organisations including Pinkerton, Empire Security Management, Equinox Security Management and TCFM.
In each role, APP UK says, she was instrumental in increasing engagement with clients, along with business growth and maximising commercial opportunities.
Throughout her time working in London, Ms Demoulpied chose not to relocate and instead commuted from her home in south Wales.
However, after the successful sale of Equinox to TCFM, she decided to return to her roots in Cardiff and utilise her significant experience to help Welsh-based SMEs.
She began working with Business Wales, the Welsh Government’s business advisory service, to provide tendering and business advice. This was followed by a move to the third sector, which then led to her appointment with APP UK.
Ms Demoulpied said: “I am thrilled to have been given this fantastic opportunity at one of Wales’ most socially conscious organisations.
“APP UK has developed a reputation for being a business which really cares about the community while delivering an industry-leading service. My aim now is to continue building on this amazing work and driving further growth across the business.
“We have already won a number of new contract tender opportunities. I am also proud to say that we have retained a major contract in a recent retendering exercise, which is testimony to the dedication and hard work of our teams and the partnership ethos of our business.”
The specialist commercial cleaning and maintenance services company is owned by GEL, a trading subsidiary of mental health charity Gofal.
