Tory donations triple Labour’s
THE Conservatives accepted £4.7m in donations in the first three months of 2018 – more than three times as much as Labour.
New data shows Theresa May’s party received the vast majority of donations reported by all political parties registered in Great Britain and Northern Ireland between January 1 and March 31.
Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour accepted £1.49m in donations, while the Liberal Democrats reported £564,135.
Renew, the newly-established centrist party aiming to stop Brexit, collected £111,671, while the Women’s Equality Party received £10,000 and the Green Party £1,800.
