THEY SAY: Skyscanner is an all-in-one travel app with flights, hotels and car rentals, all in one place.
WE SAY: If Hopper doesn’t find you the deal you want, Skyscanner will – once you’ve found the flight you want, the app will notify you if the price changes.

WE SAY: The best way to keep up with your flight’s gate and departure time while in the airport, using App In The Air means you won’t have to listen out for gate calls, or keep squinting at the departure board to see just how delayed you are…

WE SAY: Yes, a lot of people use Trip Advisor for this, but Yelp is a great resource, too. I’ve found its recommendations to be winners every time.

WE SAY: Lonely Planet makes the best guides (and its app for that is pretty sweet, too), but Trips allows you to document your trip with words, pictures and video, and share with the Lonely Planet community.
It’s a resource for trip-planning, too, as well as being beautiful to look and inspirational to read.
