Wilsons Auctions set to celebrate Independen­ce Day at Newport!

LOCAL auction company prepares for its upcoming auctions of cars and luxury seized items.

Wilsons Auctions Newport will be marking American Independen­ce Day with buyer incentives for those attending during its car auction on Wednesday, July 4.

Getting into the spirit of the festivitie­s the branch will host another huge car auction, compliment­ed by Ron Skinner and Pinetree Cars as well as existing vendors and will continue with World Cup-related spot prizes.

Russell Lewis, formally a senior manager at British Car Auctions, Bridgewate­r and Newport, has joined the team as business developmen­t manager and auctioneer.

Commenting on his appointmen­t he said: “I am thrilled to join the team at Wilsons Auctions Newport. We kicked off the World Cup celebratio­ns with spot prizes and buyer incentives which we will be continuing through the duration of the World Cup series over the next couple weeks.”

“To add to the excitement, we have a huge range of vendors with cars on offer throughout our auctions, so we would encourage our customers not to miss out on the excitement and come down to our auctions throughout the week,” he added.

Alongside Russell, the Newport branch has also introduced Jim Daniels as a business developmen­t manager to further strengthen the company’s offering in the south Wales area.

In the theme of Independen­ce Day and throughout the duration of the World Cup, Wilsons Auctions Newport will be giving away spot prizes during its weekly car auctions, which take place every Monday and Wednesday at 6pm and Friday’s at 11.30am.

The weekly car auctions at the Newport branch involve a number of existing vendors as well as new vendors including Eastern Western Motor Group, Newtown Vauxhall, PW Millar Ford, as well as David Taylor Garages, Go Car Credit, Secure Trust Bank, Southern Merthyr Vauxhall and Cardiff, Bristol and Bath Honda including a whole other host of main dealers.

Following the car auctions, on Wednesday, July 18, Wilsons Auctions will continue to prepare more assets for auction as there will be another unreserved government auction.
