New regional commercial director for home builder
CARDIFF partnership homes developer Lovell has appointed Anthony Vagges as regional commercial director.
In his new position, Mr Vagges – who has been promoted from his previous position as chief surveyor for Lovell in the region – heads the business’ commercial team of quantity surveyors, buyers and estimators. He will lead on all financial and legal aspects of Lovell’s operations across south Wales and the south-west where the company, based at the Greenmeadow Springs business park, Tongwynlais, is delivering a number of major new homes programmes.
“I’m delighted that Anthony is stepping into this new role,” said Lovell regional managing director Kate Rees.
“His considerable commercial expertise will be crucial in steering the regional business through a time of continuing growth, ensuring we fully capitalise on the opportunities available across south Wales and the south-west.
“Having worked with Lovell for over 20 years, Anthony possesses both in-depth knowledge of our business as well as extensive experience in open market and affordable residential development.”
After graduating from the University of Glamorgan with a BSc (Hons) in quantity surveying, Mr Vagges began his career as a management trainee with Amec Building before joining Lovell as an assistant estimator, rising through the business to his current role.
