Incredible career, good luck with future... stars line up to pay tribute to Warby
THE world of rugby has been left in a state of shock as Sam Warburton announced his retirement from the game.
The Cardiff Blues, Wales and British and Irish Lions legend called time on a career that saw him captain the Lions to a Test series win in Australia and a draw in New Zealand, lead his country to the 2011 World Cup semi-final and two Six Nations championships and break the record for most caps as captain for Wales.
Understandably, the tributes were soon rolling in on social media. Here are just a selection, with Warburton’s Whitchurch High schoolmate, Gareth Bale, leading the way.
