NEW ISLAND TRAVEL HOTSPOT
CHINA’S tropical Hainan Island is a new year-round family-friendly destination for Thomas Cook.
The firm has launched holidays to five beachfront hotels on the exotic south coast at Yalong Bay, Sanya Bay and Haitang Bay, with twice-weekly flights from Heathrow to Sanya Phoenix airport on China Southern Airlines.
Besides chilling on the beach, travellers can visit hot spring pools and Buddhist temples, or bag a bargain at the world’s largest duty-free shopping centre
Prices start at £799 per person for nine nights, based on two adults sharing on B&B and including flights on November 1, transfers and visas.

SKY SAFARI TO GET OFF THE GROUND
MORE than 100 hot air balloons are already confirmed for 2018 Longleat Sky Safari later this summer.
The event will run from September 14-16 at the Wiltshire estate with balloons in shapes including penguins, a wolf, an owl and Longleat’s very own lion, Simbaloo.
It’s included in the normal price of entry to Longleat: adults from £29.70, children from £22.27.

DOUBLETREE TAKES ROOT IN FRANCE
DOUBLETREE by Hilton makes its first foray into France with the opening of its 88-room property in the charming city of Carcassonne in the Languedoc region.

EASYJET ANNOUNCE NEW ROUTES
EASYJET is launching four new routes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Flights to Palermo, Sicily; Pula in Croatia, and Dalaman, Turkey took off this week, with the inaugural flight to Toulouse departing in October.
