What would second vote actually achieve?
THE recent Metropolitan parade of Remainers wanting a further vote did a disservice to the entrenched democracy that has been prevalent in the UK for some considerable time.
They may feel, quite rightly, they have the right to protest about the original “Other People’s Vote”, this is in fact part of the political process that prevails but ironically they are undermining this very process.
A majority voted Leave and to continually obstruct and drag up every negative scenario in opposition, without, in fact, any confirmed proof of their supposed consequences purely for their own political agenda is a non sequitur.
To suggest being Liberal elite is better than illiberal mediocrity is absurd and derisory.
I am not sure what they hope to achieve, a further Leave vote would exacerbate the situation, and if it was somehow reversed, what then?
Have they really thought it through, over and above any quest for power?
Wales voted Leave but the Remain lobby seem to dominate in their protestations.
The pessimism, unbounded negativity and cap-in-hand politics is the very political mindset that continues to hold Wales back economically.
Why are they so convinced Wales will be poorer, or is it a fear of political diminution in their powers? Windsor Davies
