Be careful what you wish for, Mr Drakeford
MARK DRAKEFORD is to be congratulated on winning the vote for the position of First Minister.
He says: “The choice has been made for a Labour Party which is ambitious for a distinctive Wales in a successful United Kingdom.
“The choice for a Labour Party as a party in the radical socialist tradition of Aneurin Bevan and Michael Foot and of Rhodri Morgan.”
Fine words, but may I remind him that Michael Foot’s manifesto for the general election of 1983 was described as the “longest suicide note ever written”?
Enter the Conservative Party and Margaret Thatcher.
Think on, Mr D!
