What about warming periods in history?

-

CONTRADICTIONS and hypocrisies abound regarding global warming and international energy generation.

BBC Wales showed steam (water, not CO2) billowing from our essential Port Talbot steelworks and stated Welsh CO2 emissions must be cut.

They said we must have more electric cars, without saying that the electricity to power them will not be available without fossil fuel power stations. Is it proposed to shut down all our Welsh industry, which creates the wealth and the jobs for millions of others to live off?

Meanwhile, the international climate change conference has just been held in Poland.

Well, Poland produces 80% of its electricity from coal, and intends to step up electricity generation from the current 40000 MW to 73000 MW by 2030.

Then, next door, in Germany, the industrial power-house of the world, not just Europe, they produced 16600 MW of electricity from hard coal on November 27 and a further 16300 MW from lignite, filthy brown coal. Why? So they could send thousands of their cars, tractors and combine harvesters to places like Wales, while we de-industrialise and import even more.

Then further afield, China and India open more and more coal-fired power stations every month, with their populations and industry mushrooming. Global population , around a billion in 1800, will rise to 10 billion by 2050... mainly in the Third World.

Finally, how is it that the Earth was warmer during the medieval Warm Period, about a thousand years ago, when populations were tiny and industry was almost non-existent? Did the evil Welsh cause that?
