How they rated

-

ERWIN MULDER

Made couple of very important stops in either half, but still looked a little uncertain dealing with high balls and distribution with his feet was erratic at times.

KYLE NAUGHTON

A solid enough display on his return to the side, was worked hard by Benrahma and had his hands full in what was a good contest. Calm on the ball.

MIKE VAN DER HOORN

Made one fantastic covering tackle to prevent Maupay going in on goal and stood tall during the final stages as the Bees laid siege to the Swansea goal. A strong performance.

JOE RODON

Calm and composed amidst the chaos, hard to recall him putting a foot wrong as this ever-so-impressive campaign continues for the Llangyfelach man.

MARTIN OLSSON

Swansea will hope his injury is not as serious as it looked. Had started well enough before cruelly forced off.

LEROY FER (CAPT)

Started well but had a real wobble in the period before half-time where he very nearly gifted Maupay a goal with a stray pass. Showed some strong driving runs with the ball but was caught the wrong side of his man a few times defensively.

MATT GRIMES

At the heart of everything that was good about Swansea’s play, it was noticeable how as he became more peripheral in the game so Swansea’s effectiveness going forward decreased.

NATHAN DYER

Recalled after nearly three months without a game and came back strongly after a rough start where he gave the ball away regularly. Got stronger through the first half. A good effort and his cross led to the second Swansea goal.

BARRIE MCKAY

Kicked it all off by winning the ball and laying on the opener, and produced moments of real quality in the No. 10 role. Faded as the game went on and Swansea went in to survival mode but more than decent. Should have made more of second-half chance, though.

OLI MCBURNIE

No goals but a typical workaholic display from the striker. Linked well with others and ran himself into the ground.
