‘MIRACLE GIRL’ BORN AT 23 WEEKS

THE Noah’s Ark Charity launched its Tiny Lives Appeal two years ago in a bid to raise £1m for the neonatal unit at the University Hospital of Wales.

The aim is to raise £125,000 by Christmas to pay for the provision of a new emotional support service for parents on the unit. If the charity manages to raise that amount it will have reached its £1m target.

A spokeswoman said: “The service will help families to process the trauma of their experiences and hopefully reduce the prospect of long-term damage to their emotional wellbeing.

“It will also provide support to those nurses and doctors who give their all in caring for their tiny patients.”
