Man is charged with murder

A MAN has been charged with the murder of a 31-year-old woman who was found suffering from a neck injury.

Jalal Uddin, 46, was charged with murder yesterday in connection with the death of Asma Begum in east London.

Ms Begum was found with a neck injury at an address in City Island Way in Poplar on Friday.

She was pronounced dead at the scene just after 4.15pm.

Uddin, who was arrested on Saturday, will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court today.
