Western Mail

Start off small but change the world

-

TODAY the Western Mail wants to encourage everyone to make one small change to save our world for future generations.

Climate change is one of the biggest threats to our world and the damage we are doing to our planet is clear to see. But, for real change to happen, it must begin right now. And we all have the power to do that today.

Which is why for the very first time the Western Mail is working with our UK-wide network of websites and newspapers to encourage our loyal readers to make one small change to save our world for future generations.

We don’t expect you to make colossal changes to your life.

Our message to you is simple and is underpinned by the hashtag #Do1Thing. Obvious, isn’t it?

We want to ask you to make one small change today that collectively will make a massive difference for all our tomorrows.

This can be as simple as using our online calculator to find out what your carbon footprint is. Or you could find something else in our list of 50 things on pages 4&5 today to think about doing that really don’t take much effort at all.

Our own #Do1Thing pledge is to hold four litter-picks this year as part of the Western Mail and WalesOnline’s continuing Wales Against Plastics campaign, which encourages everyone to be less reliant on single-use plastics.

But the choice is yours too. Please pick one thing, or pick several. Please commit to changing today, so that we can all do our bit to slow down the climate crisis. Start small. Start now. Just start by doing one thing.
