GRYPHON Leisure has sold Stradey Park Hotel & Spa in Llanelli to Sterling Woodrow Investments off an asking price of £3.2m.
The stone-built manor house, which dates back to 1912, plays host to the hotel reception, main dining room and function rooms and was originally owned by local industrialist Alexander Raby.
In 1974, the hotel was further extended and now boasts 77 well-appointed en suite rooms, conference and meetings rooms, spa facilities and treatment rooms.
The owners have taken the decision to sell the business to semi-retire in order to pursue other interests.
Sterling Woodrow Investments intend to continue driving the business moving forward.
The business has been transferred as a going concern which has meant that there will be no disruption with regards to the day to day running of the hotel, accommodation, wedding or event bookings.
Corrina Jones, senior business agent at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, said: “Christie & Co are delighted to have had the opportunity to work with the owners of Stradey Park Hotel & Spa and to secure a buyer to take over the helm of this iconic business.”
