Yan’s the man as we ask fans who they’d pick

- IAN MITCHELMORE Football writer ian.mitchelmore@walesonline.co.uk

SWANSEA City aim to get their play-off push back on track when they host Queens Park Rangers at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.

Steve Cooper’s men were beaten 3-2 by Derby last time out, although the Swans remain just four points adrift of the Championship’s top six.

They welcome QPR to South Wales on Tuesday night before facing Hull City at the KCOM Stadium three days later.

So the race for promotion could dramatically change once again this week.

The Swans look set to be without Bersant Celina while George Byers is being assessed after suffering an ankle injury in the loss to the Rams.

Mike van der Hoorn remains sidelines with a knee injury while Jordon Garrick is still returning to full fitness after recovering from a hamstring problem.

But the defeat by Derby on Saturday has raised some team selection issues.

So we asked fans what changes they wanted to see Cooper make. And it seems there are two very popular alterations the Jack Army want to see.

Here are their answers:

“Byers out. I don’t even know what his role is as a midfielder. Jay Fulton, a bit of a dog in the middle of the park, something we’ve been needing.”

Mark Anthony Stevens: Corbin Price:

“(Yan) Dhanda in the number 10, Celina on the left, (Ben) Wilmot instead of (Marc) Guehi and (Conor) Gallagher in the middle with (Matt) Grimes.”

“Has to be a few changes. Dhanda starts, back four needs a shuffle, maybe (Ben) Cabango in for Guehi.”

“Someone in for (Wayne) Routledge. Someone in for Byers. Wilmot back in the lineup. Give Gallagher at least half the game rest, he looks tired.”

Jordan Webber: Dean Waggenspack: Jonny Hill:

“Fulton in for Grimes, Dhanda in for Byers and Cabango/

Wilmot for Guehi.”

for Grimes.”

Harry Long:

Cabango in.”

“Dhanda needs to play. Every time he plays he makes something happen. Not sure what else he has to do to start. Maybe bring Wilmot in for Guehi.”

“Drop Guehi. Put Wilmot/Cabango back in.”

“Wilmot to partner (Joe) Rodon in defence with Dhanda coming in for Byers are the only changes I would make for that game. We need to get the balance right then hopefully build from there.”

Dhanda.”

“Dhanda in,

Thasan Yoganathan:

“Utilise our subs much earlier. We have fresh players that can come on and make an impact.”

“Woodman; Roberts, Rodon, Cabango, Naughton; Gallagher, Grimes; Ayew, Dhanda, Celina (if fit); Brewster.”

“Dhanda for Byers. Wilmot preferable for Guehi (wouldn’t

Theo: Rhys:

“Fulton in

“Cabango and mind Cabango in). If Guehi or Wilmot doesn’t start I would like to have them out of the squad so (Aldo) Kalulu can be on the bench.”

“Byers, Routledge and Guehi out. Dhanda, Celina and Wilmot in.”

Dickie: Jonathan Owen:

Guehi.”

Jonathan Tovey:

“Wilmot and Dhanda to start, Guehi dropped from the squad, Cabango and Kalulu on the bench.”

“Cabango and Rodon at the back. Wilmot with Grimes.”

Jet City Jacks: Jak Morgan:

“Dhanda has to start for me and possibly bring Celina back in for Routledge.” Wilmot to start with Joe (Rodon).”

Gareth P Cole: Jonathan Notman:

“Wilmot in for Guehi. Dhanda in for Byers.”

“Dhanda for Byers and for me Guehi looked very weak yesterday (against Derby) so bring in Wilmot and maybe start Kalulu.”

Nathan Jones: Charlie Collier:

“Wilmot for

“Wilmot back in, Celina at 10 if fit, and Kalulu out wide.”
