PREMIER League leaders Liverpool suffered a shock 3-0 defeat at relegation battlers Watford.

Ismaila Sarr fired the Hornets ahead on 53 minutes when he converted a cross from Abdoulaye Doucoure.

The Senegal winger struck again on the hour, sprinting onto a through ball to lift the ball over Alisson.

Marcos Alonso put the Blues ahead in the 33rd minute after Olivier Giroud’s effort had come back off the crossbar.

Jefferson Lerma headed in the equaliser from Ryan Fraser’s cross after 54 minutes and just three minutes later Joshua King knocked the ball in at the back post.

Alonso got his second of the afternoon when he nodded in with five minutes left.

Newcastle and Burnley played out a goalless draw at St James’ Park.

Crystal Palace won 1-0 at Brighton. Jordan Ayew struck with 20 minutes left.
