Workspace venture is launched for SMEs

-

A COLLABORATIVE workspace venture has been launched at Eastern Business Park in Cardiff.

Named No4 @ Eastern Business Park, the dedicated collaborative office provides small offices as well as hot-desk facilities.

It is initially aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises, but can also cater for larger organisations that require a presence in the capital.

No4 looks to provide everything an SME needs and the fully-furnished spaces can be occupied immediately. In addition to the private offices and hot desks, the space has a kitchen, breakout area and a lounge area, offering occupiers flexibility of working.

Among the first tenants at No4 are Facilities Service Group Ltd (FSG) which has an office in Cardiff and a headquarters in Swansea.

FSG provide facilities management services to a broad range of commercial clients across South Wales and the South West. Services include mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance, fire, security, plumbing, fabric and grounds maintenance.

FSG is also responsible for delivering the mechanical and electrical maintenance contract for Eastern Business Park, appointed by Knight Frank.

Luke Davies for FSG said: “The new business suite at No4 meets all our requirements and the facilities are exceptional. We were previously using a collaborative workspace in central Cardiff but the city centre traffic and lack of parking spaces available on site forced us to look elsewhere.

“Use of the shared meeting room area at No4 and the catering facilities, plus the benefit of ample on site parking, made the move here a very attractive option for us.”

Robert Hitchins’ asset and development manager John Jones said he was proud to launch the new venture at EBP, which is adjacent to the main A48 leading into Cardiff from the M4.

“No4 is a new venture targeted towards the needs of the changing office market,” he said.

“More and more office occupiers require flexibility and, given the facilities we already provide for our existing tenants at EBP, a new collaborative office offering was a natural step.

“We offer hot desks with secure lockers at £200 per month with offices for three to four people for £600 per month. This is an ‘all in’ cost. There was growing demand for this model prior to launch.

“We now hope to attract further individuals and companies so that we can grow this model.

“The facilities at Eastern Buiness Park are already second to none. An onsite beauty treatment room is due to launch soon which should prove a hit with current occupiers.”
